Back to the home of knowledgebase forum "Sales Tax" defined in the seller account are not calculated for Subscription button

An user   8/16/2010 2:23:38 AM

Hi,

I've been testing your control for some time now and I must say I'm very satisfied with its capabilities.
But, after performing my test I've discovered that "Sales Tax" defined in the seller account are not calculated when a buyer (from a country that I've defined tax for) needs to perform a payment.
Now, the "Tax" property of the control is set to its default value ("0") and still when the buyer reaches the payment page (after he logs in), PayPal doesn't calculate the required Tax.

Waiting fir your response,
Itay.

Dear Itay,

We have received the answer from PayPal Merchant Technical Support team. They said,

"Unfortunately, taxes from the profile is not supported when using the subscription buttons, nor can you pass the tax variable in subscription code. This is a limitation of the subscription buttons you can not have taxes or shipping."

So, that is the reason why sales tax was not being calculated. We will remove the sales tax property from the subscription button so that it wont raise any more confusion.

Please do not hesitate to write us back if you need any more assistance.
